STA/Timing Methodology Engineer, Staff

You will be working as a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, where you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems for cutting-edge products. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems for launching world-class products - Bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment, packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience - OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience - OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience As an STA CAD methodology lead, you will lead the deployment of new features and methodologies related to STA and ECO domain. Your responsibilities will include developing STA flow/methodology, continuous efficiency improvement, and supporting ECO convergence with tools. You will need to resolve timing convergence challenges at both block and top levels on cutting-edge technology designs. **Key Requirements:** - Thorough knowledge of ASIC design cycle and timing closure flow and methodology - 10+ years of proficiency in timing constraints and closure with expertise in STA tools - Strong understanding of advanced STA concepts and challenges in advanced nodes - Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python) and background in PNR and Extraction domain - Experience in constraints development tool (like spyglass) will be an added advantage - Leadership qualities to lead and manage the STA CAD team **Qualification:** - BE/BTech + 10 years of experience, or ME/MTech + 10 years of experience Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible hiring processes for individuals with disabilities.
