Job Overview The Senior UI/UX Designer plays a crucial role in shaping Starweaver's digital experiences and maintaining our reputation for exceptional user-centered design. This role focuses on designing intuitive user interfaces for our educational platforms, custom Analytics tool, in-house LMS solution, and various digital products. The Senior UI/UX Designer will collaborate closely with Full Stack Developers, Content Production teams, Instructional Designers, and product managers to ensure seamless user experiences that align with our educational and technology objectives. Key Responsibilities 1. User Experience Design & Research Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand learner and user needs across our educational platforms and technology solutions. Create user personas, journey maps, and user flow diagrams to guide design decisions and improve overall user experience. Analyze user feedback and behavioral data from our custom Analytics tool to identify areas for UX improvements. 2. Interface Design & Prototyping Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications, including our in-house LMS solution and Analytics platform. Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite). Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all Starweaver digital products. 3. Collaboration & Communication Partner with Full Stack Developers to ensure design feasibility and optimal implementation of UI components. Work closely with Instructional Designers to create engaging and accessible learning interfaces that enhance educational content delivery. Collaborate with Content Production & Engagement Managers to design user experiences that support effective course creation workflows. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to cross-functional teams. 4. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) and follow best practices for inclusive design. Conduct design quality reviews and maintain adherence to Starweaver's brand guidelines and design standards. Test and validate design solutions across multiple devices and browsers to ensure responsive design implementation. 5. Educational Technology Innovation Design user experiences specifically tailored for educational content consumption and creation workflows. Create interfaces that support multimedia integration, including animations, demonstrations, and interactive elements. Collaborate with the development team to design data visualization components for our Analytics platform. 6. Process Improvement & Documentation Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design rationale, user flows, and component specifications. Contribute to design process improvements and recommend new tools or methodologies to enhance team efficiency. Support junior designers through mentorship and knowledge sharing of design best practices. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Design Quality & User Satisfaction Maintain user satisfaction ratings of 4.5 or higher for designed interfaces across platforms. Achieve usability test success rates of 85% or higher for new design implementations. Project Delivery & Collaboration Deliver design deliverables within 48 hours of project requirements being finalized. Maintain a 95% on-time delivery rate for all design milestones. Design System & Consistency Ensure 100% adherence to design system guidelines across all new interface designs. Contribute at least two design system enhancements annually to improve team efficiency. Cross-functional Collaboration Achieve an average satisfaction rating of 90% or higher from developers and product managers on design collaboration and handoff quality. User Experience Impact Contribute to maintaining 90% or higher completion rates for user workflows in designed interfaces. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
