Position Summary... What youll do... The core focus of Traffic Platform is to develop and implement new innovative software solutions, which scale significantly with business demand and enhance Walmarts cloud platforms. We take pride in developing, maintaining and enhancing multiple massive clusters of front-end-optimizing (FEO) reverse proxies with on-the-fly content rewriting, image resizing, caching, request-response life cycle and Lua event handler execution (all multi domain/tenant). What will you do? Develop high-quality software design and architecture. Extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, RDBMS , JavaScript ,Scripting, Node.js . Rust experience would be considered a plus. Graph QL and Redis experience would be considered a plus. Experience with version control systems like Git and with K8s and Docker or similar containerization and orchestration platforms. What will you bring? Bachelor s or masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of system design and architecture and proven ability to contribute to architecture decisions. Excellent coding skills with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability. Excellent issue triaging and trouble shooting skills to resolve critical production issues Proven experience in a fast-paced team environment, preferably working on mission critical and highly scalable product Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically. Demonstrated ownership mentality with the ability to take responsibility for projects from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects are completed to high standards. Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience with cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud, or Azure will be a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently. Ability to understand best practices regarding system security measures. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven track record of learning new technologies and skills on the job and apply them to the current projects. Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting. Ability to handle on-call rotation and customer interaction.
