Staff Nurse

Job Purpose:

To provide professional nursing care to patients, assist doctors during consultations, ensure accurate medical documentation, and maintain high standards of patient care in compliance with The Apollo Clinic , P-72, Prince Anwar Shah Rd, Jodhpur Park, Kolkata - 700045 .

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Care:

• Perform patient assessment, vital signs monitoring (BP, pulse, temperature, SPO2, etc.).
• Administer injections, vaccinations, IV infusions, and medications as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during consultations, minor procedures, dressing, ECG, nebulization, etc.
• Manage OPD, preventive health check-ups, and wellness packages.
• Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols.

Patient Handling & Communication:

• Provide counseling to patients regarding medication, diet, and follow-up care.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy at all times.
• Handle patient queries with empathy and professionalism.

Documentation & Records:

• Maintain accurate nursing notes, vitals, medical history, and reports.
• Update patient records in software (EMR) as per protocol.
• Assist in billing support for nursing services like injections, dressing, procedures.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

• Manage nursing supplies, vaccines, and consumables stock.
• Ensure medical equipment is functional and calibrated regularly.

Emergency Care:

• Provide basic life support in case of emergencies until the doctor arrives or the patient is shifted.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Basic emergency handling (BLS certification preferred).
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Qualification & Experience:

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council).
• Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital/clinic setup.
• Experience in OPD or diagnostic clinic will be an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
