Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards, protocols, and hospital policies. The role includes administering medication, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating with doctors and healthcare teams, and ensuring a safe and compassionate care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on time.

Monitor and record patients vital signs, medical conditions, and progress.

Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency situations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.

Ensure proper infection control practices and maintain cleanliness in the ward/unit.

Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, treatment plans, and discharge care.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first-line support.

Manage medical supplies, ensure equipment functionality, and report deficiencies.

Follow all hospital policies, safety protocols, and professional nursing standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Registration: Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council.

Experience: 0-2 years (Freshers may apply; experience in hospital settings preferred)

Skills:

Strong clinical and patient care skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Empathy, patience, and attention to detail

Basic computer and documentation skills
