Staff Nurse (OT)

Location: Cosmetiq Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
Department: Operation Theatre
Reports to: OT Incharge / Nursing Superintendent

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse – OT will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and cosmetic procedures at Cosmetiq Hospital. The role involves assisting surgeons, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile techniques, and delivering compassionate perioperative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the OT before each procedure by ensuring availability of sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries by anticipating their needs.
• Monitor patients’ vitals and provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Maintain strict aseptic and infection control protocols in the OT.
• Handle OT equipment, instruments, and surgical disposables carefully.
• Document surgical procedures, nursing notes, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Coordinate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare staff for smooth OT functioning.
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the OT.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Participate in continuous training and upskilling programs organized by the hospital.

Qualifications & Requirements

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid Nursing Council registration (Kerala Nursing Council preferred).
• Minimum 2–6 years of experience in OT
• Knowledge of cosmetic / plastic surgery procedures is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and empathy.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies with professionalism.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
