Job Description

As a Haemodialysis Machine Operator, your role involves setting up and operating haemodialysis machines to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure. You will attach the dialyzer and tubing to the machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare the machine for use. Additionally, you will label the dialyser and blood lines with the patient's name and ID prior to the first use (excluding single use). Key Responsibilities: - Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate according to the formula. - Explain the dialysis procedure and operation of the haemodialysis machine to the patient before treatment to allay anxieties. - Connect the haemodialysis machine to the patient's access site to initiate dialysis. - Monitor the haemodialysis machine for malfunctions. - Maintain all log books, forms, and registers. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in operating haemodialysis machines is preferred. - Knowledge of dialysis procedures and protocols. - Certification in haemodialysis machine operation is a plus.
