Description
As a caregiver in this role, your primary responsibilities will include: - Sponging/Bathing patients and ensuring personal hygiene. - Grooming patients, including brushing hair, teeth, nails, shaving, etc. - Assistance in urination/toileting, including handling bedpans and diaper care. - Feeding patients and documenting food and liquid intake. - Monitoring and recording vital signs (BP, Sugar, Pulse, Respiration, Saturation, Temperature). - Turning or moving patients; assisting in mobility using walkers, wheelchairs, or by holding hands. - Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the patients surroundings. - Providing companionship and emotional support to patients. - Administering medication under the supervision of family members. - Performing Nebulization and digital BP/Sugar monitoring on a case-by-case basis. In addition, you will be expected to provide intermediate and advanced clinical care as follows: Intermediate Care: - RT Feeding (Ryle's Tube feeding). - Administering medication, including oxygen, IM (Intramuscular) injections, insulin, and vital charting. - Monitoring patient vitals and documenting readings accurately. Advanced Clinical Care: - Handling home ventilators, Bipap, and Cpap machines. - Administering IV, TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition), and cannula insertions. - Tracheostomy care, suctioning, and performing tracheostomy changes. - Catheter and RT changes. - Providing specialized care, including oxygen therapy, insulin management, and medicine charting. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Educational Qualification: GNM/B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent. - Experience: 1-2 years in home healthcare settings. - Certifications: Relevant nursing certifications and licenses. - Proficiency in using medical equipment like ventilators, nebulizers, and monitoring devices. - Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and patient care standards. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
