Staff Nurse (Eye Hospital)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Eye Mantra Hospital, specializing in ophthalmic care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing services to patients undergoing eye examinations, treatments, surgeries, and post-operative care. Key Responsibilities: Assist ophthalmologists and surgeons during eye examinations, procedures, and surgeries. Prepare and maintain the operating room for ophthalmic surgeries. Monitor vital signs and observe patients for signs of complications. Administer prescribed medications and eye drops as directed. Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care and eye health. Maintain accurate nursing records and documentation. Ensure infection control protocols and cleanliness are strictly followed. Support outpatient, inpatient, and emergency eye care units as needed. Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care. Handle patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up appointments efficiently. Qualifications & Requirements: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution. Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council. Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience, preferably in ophthalmology or surgical care (freshers can be considered based on attitude and learning ability). Knowledge of common ophthalmic procedures, instruments, and medications. Good communication, interpersonal, and patient-handling skills. Ability to work in a team and handle high-pressure situations. Willingness to work in shifts and weekends, as required. Preferred Skills: Experience in eye OT / phaco surgeries. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital management systems.
