Staff Front-end CAD and Methodology Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of a team that is dedicated to developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products, pushing boundaries and shaping the future of hardware experiences. Your expertise will play a key role in delivering high-performance, efficient, and integrated hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects in various domains such as RTL generation, design verification, AI-enabled CAD flows, design QA and release management, and low power flows. - Collaborate with design teams to understand requirements and implement CAD solutions. - Collaborate across functional domains to enable the development and validation of CAD flows. - Advocate for improvements in EDA vendor tools to provide custom solutions for Google. - Apply software skills to understand VLSI design concepts effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 8 years of experience in Silicon engineering. - Proficiency in writing production scripts such as Python or TCL. - Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (preferred). - 15 years of experience with front-end CAD (preferred). - Knowledge of ML algorithms and AI application development (preferred). - Understanding of the full software development life cycle (preferred).
