Staff Engineer - Firmware

Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain Linux device drivers for high-performance Fibre Channel adapters supporting FCP and NVMe protocols. - Engage in all development stages including architecture, design, coding, unit testing, benchmarking, and support. - Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, and internal test teams to address issues during unit and integration testing. - Contribute actively to the Linux upstream community and collaborate with OS distro vendors like RedHat and SUSE. - Ensure solutions meet OEM qualification criteria, provide customer support, coordinate with team members globally, be available for on-site customer work, and occasional business-related travel. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field. - 6 to 10 years of experience in device driver development on operating systems, particularly Linux. - Strong background in OS internals and the storage stack, especially on Linux. - Knowledge of SCSI, Storage Protocols and Technologies, Fibre Channel Protocol, NVMe, and SPDK is advantageous. - Ability to troubleshoot OS and device driver issues, effective communication skills, adaptability to new requirements, and collaboration within team environments are essential.
