Your Team, Your Impact The FC target driver team is committed to providing top-notch, high-quality drivers for the Marvell FC HBA. They work closely with clients to integrate Fibre Channel HBA features into the driver and ensure the code is well-maintained. What You Can Expect In this role, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux device drivers for high-performance Fibre Channel adapters that support both FCP and NVMe protocols. You will engage in all stages of development and support, from architecture and requirements to design, coding, unit testing, benchmarking, and support. Collaboration with Hardware, Firmware, and internal test teams to resolve issues during unit and integration testing is essential. Moreover, you will actively contribute to the Linux upstream community and collaborate with OS distro vendors like RedHat and SUSE. Ensuring that our solutions meet OEM qualification criteria, providing support to customers utilizing our solutions, coordinating with team members across different locations, being available for on-site customer work, and occasional business-related travel are also part of the role. What We're Looking For We are seeking candidates with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field, along with 6 to 10 years of device driver experience on operating systems, preferably Linux. A strong background in OS internals and the storage stack, particularly on Linux, is required. Knowledge of SCSI, Storage Protocols and Technologies, as well as experience with Fibre Channel Protocol, NVMe, and SPDK, will be advantageous. Troubleshooting OS and device driver issues using various tools, excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information clearly, the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, adaptability to new requirements based on customer/industry needs, and collaboration within team environments and with geographically dispersed teams are essential qualities. Strong experience with OS internals and storage stack, preferably Linux, as well as knowledge of SCSI, Storage Protocols, and Technologies is required. Experience with Fibre Channel Protocol, NVMe, SPDK will be an added advantage. You should have experience in troubleshooting OS and device driver problems with effective usage of various tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. The ability to work independently with minimal guidance, grasp new requirements and solutions based on customer/industry needs, and work cohesively in a team environment and with geographically dispersed teams is also important.
