Staff Accountant

Role & responsibilities

Were looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Noida. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with our Canadian finance team and support the growth of Rises operations in India.

The day-to-day:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing balance sheet schedules and reports.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Canadian accounting team to ensure consistency in financial processes and reporting.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Bonus: CA (Inter) or equivalent certification.
• Bonus: Experience working with cross-border teams or exposure to Canadian/IFRS accounting standards.

Work schedule :

• Shift : 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM IST
• Workdays : Monday to Friday
• Office location : Sector 142, Noida
