Job Summary: The Dean of Research & Development will lead and enhance the institution’s research culture by fostering innovation, facilitating funded projects, encouraging inter-disciplinary collaborations, and promoting publication and patenting efforts. The role involves strategic planning, policy development, and providing leadership in the advancement of research across all departments. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the strategic plan for the institution’s R&D activities. Promote a culture of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship across all departments. Guide and support faculty in preparing and submitting research proposals to funding agencies. Facilitate collaborations with industry, research organizations, and academic institutions. Monitor ongoing research projects, ensure compliance, and track deliverables. Organize research workshops, faculty development programs, seminars, and conferences. Supervise the functioning of research centers, incubation units, and innovation hubs. Encourage and oversee publications in reputed journals, conferences, and filing of patents. Prepare annual R&D reports and maintain records of research achievements. Ensure ethical standards and plagiarism control in all research outputs. Identify and disseminate research funding opportunities. Act as a liaison between the institution and government bodies or industry partners for research development. Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Minimum of 10–15 years with 3 to 5 academic/research experience and 5 years of Industrial experience. Proven leadership in research planning and execution. Experience in managing research grants and working with funding agencies upon the projects.
