Sr.Buyer - Bulks-P&C -RCP

As a Procurement & Contracts professional based in Navi Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the technical requirements are in line with the specifications provided by vendors. You will be involved in conducting a second round of negotiations with vendors and exploring opportunities with alternate vendors. Additionally, you will oversee a particular item for all manufacturing sites or specific manufacturing sites, or manage a particular category for Project Procurement. Your key job accountabilities will include: - Initiating enquiries for critical items based on user requirements - Verifying the accuracy of technical requirements from users and technical specifications from vendors - Conducting second-round negotiations with vendors and providing necessary details to the buying manager for finalizing deals above a certain amount - Placing orders for finalized items and updating entries in the SAP system - Addressing internal and external audit issues related to procurement in a timely manner and assisting buyers in resolving such issues To qualify for this role, you should have a B.Tech/B.E degree along with 6-9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing. Desirable qualifications include experience in category-based purchasing and supply management in a similar plant operations environment.
