Job Description

As a member of the Research & Technology (R&T) department working on electrochemical technology at our company, your role will involve evaluating electrochemical technologies for the production of hydrogen and green chemicals. You will conduct fundamental analysis to assess the viability of electrochemical technologies and perform cost and energy optimization calculations, comparing them with conventional technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Create management reports on technology updates and benchmarking with conventional technologies. - Collaborate with various teams to gather data and provide a comprehensive overview of technologies from the company's perspective. - Conduct Excel-based calculations and templates for energy balance and efficiency of electrolysers. - Simulate electrolyser operations using ASPEN Plus software. - Evaluate and diligence electrochemical technologies for hydrogen and green chemical production based on first principles. - Estimate future performance parameters under best-case scenarios considering potential improvements. - Compare different hydrogen technologies such as Alkaline water, Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM), and Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM). - Analyze energy balance within electrolyser stacks and identify energy leak points using Excel-based calculations and templates. - Understand the contribution of electrolyser components to stack performance. - Anticipate constraints and trends in technology and product applications, providing recommendations for implementation. - Propose enhancements and upgrades to electrochemical processes, equipment, and technologies to achieve higher capacities and efficiencies. - Conduct literature searches to gain detailed insights into electrochemical technology. Qualifications Required: - M.Tech/PhD in Chemical Engineering or higher. - Experience in Hydrogen Generation through Electrolysis. - Preferably a graduate of CECRI Institute. In this role, you will also need to stay updated on electrochemical technology innovations and identify opportunities for process innovation. You will be expected to suggest innovative approaches to reduce energy consumption and keep abreast of advancements in stack component improvements.
