Sr. Systems Administrator

As a Senior Systems Administrator based in Bangalore, India, you will be the primary source for Tier II Infrastructure support for all commercial environments. Your responsibilities include resolving day-to-day operations issues and contributing to upcoming projects and setups. You will prioritize activities, coordinate with management and next-tier support organizations, and ensure continuous support while escalating proactive events to prevent client impact. Your role involves participating in Change management meetings, Readiness Reviews, Engineering/Comm Ops meetings, and other necessary activities. You may need to work outside of your scheduled shift time occasionally to complete projects or meet business commitments. Collaboration with the NOC (Tier I), Engineering, and Deployment teams is vital for the success of the larger organization. You will contribute to Change Management, Release Management, Problem Management, and Ops PMO activities/projects, respond to incident calls, and proactively troubleshoot issues. To succeed in this role, you should possess advanced administration skills in Redhat Linux, Windows, and Systems Performance tuning. Experience working with VMware, Netbackup, Citrix, F5 load balancers, and DNS is required. Knowledge of Incident, Change & Problem Management/ticketing systems is essential, with additional experience in Storage Systems, San Switches, ESX Clusters being desirable. Familiarity with Scripting, systems performance, Networking, TCP/IP, and firewall setups is valuable. Good analytical and communication skills, self-motivation, and passion are important qualities. You should have 4-6 years of experience in Systems Administration and supporting Commercial environments, along with an Engineering or equivalent degree in CS/ECE. Experience in Private Cloud infra setup, GPC & AWS infrastructure setups, Ansible Automation, and DevOps in Infrastructure will be beneficial. The ability to troubleshoot issues in high-pressure situations, resolve problems in a timely manner, and keep stakeholders involved and updated is crucial for success in this role.
