Role Overview

Lead Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of

  data pipelines and ELT workflows

  .
• Build scalable and efficient

  data models in Snowflake

  using

  dbt

  .
• Write optimized

  SQL queries

  and leverage

  Python

  for data processing and automation.
• Partner with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
  
• Ensure

  data quality, reliability, and governance

  in all pipelines.
• Drive best practices for

  CI/CD, testing, and DevOps in data engineering

  .
• Mentor a team of engineers and provide technical leadership.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 812 years

  of experience in Data Engineering with at least

  2+ years in a lead/mentorship role

  .
• Hands-on expertise in

  Snowflake and dbt

  (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of

  SQL

  (query optimization, performance tuning).
• Proficiency in

  Python

  for ETL/ELT development and automation.
• Strong understanding of

  data modeling, warehousing, and ELT/ETL frameworks

  .
• Experience with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with

  Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

  .

Good to Have

• Exposure to

  Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake

  .
• Knowledge of

  Informatica IDMC/IICS

  or other enterprise ETL tools.
• Experience in

  data governance, cataloging, and security

  .
• Prior client-facing or consulting experience.
