Sr Product Manager - Accounting

Role Overview: As part of Zuora's Accounting product team, you will play a critical role in shaping Zuora as an Accounts Receivable Subledger. Your expertise in accounting policies and operations related to Accounts Receivable will bridge the gap between accounting/finance persona requirements and the development team. You will act as the subject matter expert on accounting topics, translate accounting workflows into product requirements, drive the product roadmap, collaborate with engineers and designers, gather feedback from stakeholders, and support product launches. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the subject matter expert on accounting topics such as Accounts Receivable related policies, intercompany transactions, consolidations, and audit readiness. - Translate accounting workflows and compliance needs into product requirements and specifications. - Define, prioritize, and execute features aligning with customer needs and business goals, advocating for End to End automation in Product design. - Utilize a passion for Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world problems related to Accounting and Accounts Receivable. - Drive a scalable and robust product roadmap, aligning with key business objectives and corporate strategy. - Partner closely with engineers and designers to deliver accurate, intuitive solutions. - Gather feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and the market to inform product development. - Plan and execute Product launches, including coordination with go-to-market functions and creating product documentation, release notes, and training materials. - Support QA and user acceptance testing for finance-related features. - Collaborate with the Global team, requiring time zone flexibility. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of taking initiatives from idea to market and 10+ years of overall experience in cloud software product development. - 5+ years of operational experience as a designated Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant. - Knowledge and experience with Cloud-based ERPs (e.g., Oracle, Oracle Netsuite, Workday Financials) and/or other Accounting Automation solutions. - Understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalability concepts. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Outstanding communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on distilling complex concepts into simple narratives. - Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling software products. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Strong leadership skills and ability to influence without direct authority.,
