Sr Principal Designer - Instrumentation

You will be responsible for performing tasks in a manner that minimizes environmental and health risks while pursuing professional development within your discipline. Additionally, you will be expected to report any deviations and suggest improvements to the company's Quality Management system. Supporting the Lead Designer, Lead Engineer, or Engineering Manager in implementing the Strategy outlined for the Design Department will be a key part of your role. Furthermore, you will participate in the company's development, implementation, and commercial Tender activities in alignment with the overall Strategy. Collaboration with other discipline Leads, Engineering Manager, and Project Manager will be essential to optimize project executions and leverage various support functions. Your responsibilities will also include assisting engineers in developing Engineering deliverables such as different layouts (Cable tray, Instrument Location, Lighting), Hook-up drawing, Single Line Diagram, and more. You will interface with subcontractors, provide training and experience transfer to less experienced engineering personnel, and effectively manage schedules to meet tight deadlines. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent degree from a recognized university. Proficiency in International Codes and Standards, familiarity with various specifications including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, KOC, NORSOK, and others, and experience in project operations planning, resource utilization, quality management, and manpower management are required. Knowledge of Communication Protocols, 3D Design Tools (Aveva E3D, PDMS, Smartplant 3D, PDS), and working on Onshore Oil and Gas projects within a multi-discipline team environment is essential. Experience in Scope Review, FEED document review, modularized/Skid design of process packages, and standardization of Design Procedures are also expected.
