As a Sr. Manager/Manager QS Civil, your role involves a variety of responsibilities related to cost estimation, budget preparation, cost monitoring, and contract administration for construction projects. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Workout cost of construction at various stages of the project accurately, including concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and GFC stages. - Prepare budgets for projects at different stages of design. - Quantify all civil items from AutoCAD or PDF drawings and estimate costs for various works. - Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets considering material costs, labor, and time. - Benchmark costs based on current market trends and forecast cost benchmarks at different stages. - Monitor project costs, identify potential variations, and adjust budgets accordingly. - Assist in contract administration by negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with legal requirements. - Prepare financial reports and cost analyses to track project progress and identify areas of concern. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement throughout the project lifecycle. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure cost-effective and efficient project delivery. Your Skills and Knowledge should include: - Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions. - Financial Management Skills: Understanding of accounting principles and cost accounting. - Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. - Construction Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, materials, new technologies, and methods. - Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM. Qualification Required: - BE/B. Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering - 12 to 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
