Sr. Manager/Manager QS Civil

As a Senior Manager/Manager in Quantity Surveying Civil, your primary responsibility will be to accurately calculate the construction costs at different stages of the project. This includes estimating costs during the concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and GFC stages. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing project budgets at various design stages and quantifying all civil items from AutoCAD or PDF drawings to determine estimates for different works. Your role will also involve preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, taking into account material costs, labor expenses, and project timelines. You will need to stay informed about current market trends to benchmark costs at different project stages and monitor project costs closely to identify potential variations and adjust budgets accordingly. As part of your duties, you will negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for preparing financial reports and cost analyses to monitor project progress and highlight any areas of concern. Furthermore, you will be expected to identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement throughout the project lifecycle through value engineering. Collaboration is an essential aspect of this role, as you will need to work closely with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure cost-effective and efficient project delivery. Strong analytical skills, financial management expertise, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of the construction industry are key to succeeding in this position. Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM is also required. To qualify for this role, you should hold a BE/B. Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in the field.,
