Sr. Manager/AGM - Biochemist Nutraceutical Specialist

Job Description The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, with a focus on developing products tailored for physically active individuals. This role will involve designing, testing, and optimizing nutritional supplements that support energy, endurance, performance recovery, and overall well-being . Key Responsibilities Ingredient Research: Identify and evaluate bioactive ingredients, functional foods, and supplements that enhance physical and mental performance and recovery. Testing & Analysis: Recommend tests to ensure product quality and performance. Regulatory Compliance: Work with the regulatory team to ensure all formulations adhere to relevant standards (e.g., FSSAI, FDA, EFSA) for nutraceuticals. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and quality assurance, to bring formulations to market. Scientific Documentation: Maintain detailed records of research, formulation processes, and trial outcomes. Innovation & Trends: Stay updated with emerging trends in sports nutrition, active lifestyle supplements, and functional ingredients. Format selectio n - Should be able to identify the possible format or formats to deliver the best possible nutrition in the most convenient way Qualifications & Experience Masters or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, or a related field. 8-10 years of experience in nutraceutical formulation, specifically for products targeting physically active consumers (and/or targeting athletes ) Strong knowledge of ingredient interactions, bioavailability, and delivery systems. Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards for dietary supplements. Proven track record of successful product launches in the nutraceutical or wellness space is a plus. Skills Required Expertise in functional ingredients for energy, endurance, and recovery . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently. Preferred Experience : Knowledge of sports science or human physiology .
