Sr Manager - Design & Engineering (Solar EPC)

As an Engineer in Design & Engineering with solar (EPC) experience, your role involves analyzing tender specifications and creating detailed designs and drawings that meet client requirements. You will be responsible for calculating the Bill of Materials (BOM) and quantities for Balance of System (BOS) components to support the bidding team. Your tasks include finalizing designs, drawings, and BOM upon order confirmation, ensuring client approval and installation readiness. Collaboration with the client's site execution team and subcontractors is essential to resolve design-related issues during the Installation and Commissioning (I&C) phase. It is crucial to optimize designs for performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Your qualifications must include a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10-12 years of experience or a Diploma with 13-15 years of experience in designing and engineering Solar PV Projects. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp, and MS Office is required. Strong communication and coordination skills are necessary to interact with clients, site teams, interdepartmental teams, and other stakeholders to achieve design parameters and norms for the assigned projects. You should have hands-on experience in designing GT Rooftop Solar PV Projects of at least 1000 KWp capacity or above with various roof types like inclined sheet metal or flat cement concrete. Additionally, experience in designing GT Ground Mounted or SAT Solar PV Projects of similar capacity is essential. You must be well-versed in Electrical Engineering terminology and design aspects to create SLD-Schematic and Interconnection schemes. Understanding Transformer-Cables and other electrical Switchgear sizing is mandatory for Solar Plant designing. Your proficiency in selecting SPV Module-Solar Inverter and Solar connectors to meet design standards is crucial. You should be able to create detailed Solar Project BOM with suitable technical specifications as per applicable standards and norms. Preferred skills include expertise in optimizing designs to meet client requirements, addressing technical challenges during project execution, and understanding OEM supplies to match SPV design requirements. You should be capable of communicating effectively with clients, consultants, EPC & INC teams, and other relevant agencies involved in SPV Projects. Leading and guiding a team of design engineers to ensure timely delivery of required drawings and project-specific documents is expected. Establishing effective coordination among Site-Consultant Design team-SCM-BD -Execution team for smooth project execution is essential. Regular updates to higher management regarding Solar PV Projects are also part of your responsibilities.,
