Sr. Java Engineer

As a Java Developer at UBS in Pune, you will be part of a fast-paced development team focused on building modern IT applications for infrastructure privileged access management. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders from Unix, Windows, and Database platforms, as well as Privileged access tools, to implement key features. You will be expected to perform hands-on design and coding following best practices, investigate and resolve production issues, and take ownership of challenges while being self-driven. Key Responsibilities: - Be part of a fast-paced development team building modern IT applications in the area of infrastructure privileged access management - Collaborate with stakeholders from Unix, Windows, and Database platforms, as well as Privileged access tools, on implementing key features - Perform hands-on design and coding following best practices - Investigate, resolve, and document production issues and resolutions - Take ownership of challenges and be self-driven Qualifications Required: - Ideally 8+ years of experience as a Java Developer, with a strong focus on Angular, Spring Boot framework, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes - Experience with building and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot framework - Working experience with the SDLC process and AGILE methodology - Deep understanding of SQL, relational and non-relational databases, key value caches, message queues, and other common application integration techniques - Deep understanding of best design and coding principles and software creation best practices - Ability to interpret user stories into technical requirements and tasks UBS, the world's largest global wealth manager, operates through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
