Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, cleaning, housekeeping, and waste/scrap management.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for building systems (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing). Implement and manage effective preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Cost related: The minimum cost to be known for MEP works ( electrical parts, civil interior works, etc..)
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors. Negotiate contracts, oversee service delivery, and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Budgeting & Finance: Assist with facility budgeting, track expenses, and manage financial records related to facility operations.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal departments. Supervise outsourced facility staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or HVAC engineering, or a related technical field, with relevant experience in facility management.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and infrastructure.
    • Basic knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, CCTV and DVR systems, UPS, and batteries.
  • Experience:
    • Typically, 3-5 years of experience in facility management or related roles is required.
    • Experience can be focused on "Soft Services" (cleaning, security) or "Technical" operations (mechanical and electrical systems).
  • IT Literacy: Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is mandatory for maintaining records and reporting day-to-day maintenance activities.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Language Proficiency: Semi Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages such as Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi is preferred to facilitate effective communication with diverse staff and vendors.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in facility management (e.g., CFM, FMP) are advantageous.
