Job Description

As a BE Mechanical/Electrical professional with 6-10 years of experience in the Energy/Manufacturing sector/Auto Sector, you will be responsible for procurement activities from both Import and Domestic sources. This includes timely placement of purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery, managing incoterms, optimizing freight costs, and timely forecasting to streamline operations effectively. Your role will also involve procurement of various materials such as casting, machining, sheet metal, fabrication, electrical articles, and equipment like CT/VT/Panels for production assembly. It is crucial to focus on freight optimization and cost reduction strategies to enhance the overall product cost efficiency for high voltage GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) applications up to 400kv. Additionally, you will be accountable for inventory management to meet Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITR) targets. Building safety stocks for critical parts, ensuring delivery timelines and product quality, and driving cost reduction initiatives will be key aspects of your responsibilities. You will also play a vital role in exploring new suppliers, expediting their development, and maintaining strong business relationships to achieve optimal outcomes. Regular travel and visits to suppliers may be required based on business needs. Therefore, strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential to effectively liaise with various stakeholders and suppliers to ensure seamless operations and successful outcomes.,
