Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Expertise in DCS control logic programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in developing and modifying control strategies and alarm management.
  • Leading and supervising a team of instrumentation technicians and engineers.
  • Planning and execution of day-to-day instrumentation maintenance activities.
  • Calibration and preventive maintenance of pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
  • Troubleshooting field devices, control loops, and communication failures.
  • Integration of new field instruments and systems into existing DCS infrastructure.
  • Coordination with production, process, and maintenance departments for smooth operations.
  • Execution of shutdown and startup activities including testing and validation.
  • Managing documentation related to maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participating in DCS upgrade and migration projects with vendor coordination.
  • Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) for new systems.
  • Support in commissioning and startup of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Implementing safety standards and compliance in all instrumentation activities.
  • Using Honeywell Control Builder and related software tools for programming and configuration.
  • Identifying system weaknesses and proposing improvements for reliability and efficiency.
  • Providing technical support and training to engineers and technicians.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
