Two JDS, for Two diffirent roles - PCB Design , and Hardrware testing

Job Summary - PCB Designer

We are looking for an experienced PCB Designer with a strong background in power electronics to join our expert engineering team. The ideal candidate will have

  • 7+ years of experience in designing PCBs for power electronics applications, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC power supplies and inverters, utilizing Altium Designer.
  • This role demands expertise in advanced PCB design, layout optimization, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power Electronics PCB Design: Lead the design and development of complex, multi-layer PCB layouts for power electronic circuits, such as converters, power supplies, inverters, and battery management systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Advanced Altium Designer Usage: Leverage deep expertise in Altium Designer for: • Schematic capture, advanced multi-layer PCB layout, and design rule checking. • Creation of complex footprints and component libraries.
  • Design optimization for high-current, high-voltage, and high-frequency applications.
  • Utilization of Altiums tools for signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC analysis.
  • EMI/EMC Compliance: Design with a strong focus on EMI/EMC reduction techniques, including controlled impedance routing, differential pair management, and ground plane design to meet stringent regulatory standards.
  • High-Performance Design Practices: Implement design strategies to enhance power density, thermal performance, and signal integrity in PCBs.
  • Design Verification and Testing: Conduct design simulations, reviews, and validation testing to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Documentation and Process Management: Create detailed documentation, including Gerber files, BOMs, stack-up details, and assembly instructions, and maintain design records for compliance and production.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in PCB design, specifically within power electronics. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.

  • Complex multi-layer PCB design and schematic capture.
  • Advanced routing techniques for signal and power integrity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Altiums simulation and analysis tools.
  • Experience with high-speed design and impedance control.
  • Power Electronics Knowledge: Extensive experience with power electronics circuits, including:
  • Designing for various topologies (e.g., buck, boost, flyback, full-bridge converters).
  • Expertise in thermal management and power integrity.
  • EMI/EMC Knowledge: Proven experience in designing PCBs that meet EMI/EMC standards and regulatory requirements. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.

Job Summary - Hardware Testing

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Test Engineer specializing in Power Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing, validating, and troubleshooting hardware components for power electronics systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and methodologies for power electronic devices, including inverters, converters, and power supplies.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and stress tests on hardware to verify design specifications and reliability.
  1. Troubleshooting and Analysis:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Analyse test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  1. Validation and Compliance:

  • Ensure hardware complies with industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL) and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and thermal testing as required.
  1. Documentation:

  • Document test results, create detailed reports, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain thorough records of test procedures, results, and system modifications.
  1. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with design, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware quality and seamless integration.
  • Provide feedback on design improvements based on test findings.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

- Around 4 years of experience in hardware testing for power electronics.

- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, and mustimeters.

- Strong understanding of power electronics principles, including switching devices, circuit design, and thermal management.

- Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.

- Knowledge of testing processes and tools like Jira.

- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in power electronics.
