Sr. Engineer - New Product Development

The role aims to oversee the development and execution of software design for various products in injection molding and extrusion machines, along with offering technical support for field troubleshooting. Responsibilities include developing software for new products and features based on market demand, internal and external customer requirements, competitor product analysis, and enhancements. Actively participating in development and design phases, implementing customer requests and projects within set deadlines and budgets, and maintaining standardization to enhance existing software features are key tasks. Moreover, the position involves working towards enhancing machine and human safety, demonstrating the ability to work independently and provide innovative solutions. Providing on-shore and off-shore support for global projects, collaborating with manufacturing to enhance customer satisfaction, identifying cost reduction and product improvement opportunities, and staying updated on new technologies are crucial aspects. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining records as per ISO and other relevant standards, handling MIS records, preparing and analyzing data. The software development team, as part of the global digital organization, will focus on strategic, long-term technologies that set the company apart in the competitive landscape. Basic qualifications for the role include a Bachelor/Master's degree in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, or equivalent, along with 8 to 10 years of primary experience in industrial automation control systems. Proficiency in motion control, PLC programming, HMI design, and field bus communications, experience in IEC 61131-3 PLC programming and C/C++ languages, familiarity with higher-level languages like HTML5, JS, Python, working with global teams, and readiness to work in different time zones for global projects are required. Additionally, the candidate should be able to independently fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision and have experience with KEBA, Beckhoff, and B&R controllers.
