Job Description

Job title: Sr. Engineer-Aftermarket (Export & IC)Department: AftermarketLocation: Thane, IndiaEmployment: Full time / permanent contractReports to: Director-AM Sales and ServiceDirect reports: NonePOSITION DETAILSTo establish and develop relationships with Intercompany Units and Global Distributors and prepare offers for primarily Houttuin and other Daman make products and to ensure order booking numbers. To support CSR to ensure collection of AR in time and minimize Past Dues.

Principal Activities

  • Handling of RFQs for Replacement Pumps and Spares for global customers including intercompany
  • Review customer specification, drawings and contractual issues before quotation submitting
  • Enter requests in CRM, check reference pre-delivery
  • Check customer quotation request from technical and commercial standpoint, as well as for testing and trade compliance requirements
  • Initiate and follow-up trade compliance process, obtaining from customer all relevant documentation according to company guidelines
  • Prepare offers acc. to pre-delivery. For obsolete or modified products, or in case of different customer requirements, carry out hydraulic selection and select the correct replacement pump. If necessary, consult and clarify with AE to ensure correct selection of pump unit (for example, in case of motor selection). For deviating technical characteristics (when no 1: 1 replacement is possible) clarify the deviation with the customer
  • Clarify potential delivery times with Operations (Order Management Cell / Planning)
  • Consult with Engineering / ETO for technical clarifications
  • Create quotation in SAP and initiate approval process in CRM
  • Send offer to customers, clarify open points and possible customer queries, create revisions when necessary
  • Follow-up offers in cooperation with distributor and or field service
  • Order Transfer / Technical Handover to Customer Service with all required documents
  • Coordination with internal and external interfaces
  • Clarification of technical and commercial issues with internal team
  • Proactive approach to review funnels and win orders

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in managing major accounts customers and large contracts or even a business, particularly achieving genuine sales development
  • Hands on experience / understanding of Pump/Valves business
  • Negotiation skills
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English Language
  • Ability to read, write, analyse and interpret business and technical documents in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP / ERP and CRM related software
  • Team player and self-motivated
  • Stakeholders Management

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Post Graduate degree in Engineering/Management would be an added advantage
  • 4-6 years of experience for Graduates/ 3-5 years of experience for Postgraduates in Industrial products / project sales
