Sr. Embedded Software Engineer

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be part of a team that helps create original internal test equipment to further Micron's mission of transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Your role will involve developing embedded software running on bare metal to embedded Linux as well as higher-level interface software. You will collaborate with other software engineers and engineering teams to create custom in-house semiconductor equipment from scratch. **Role Overview:** - You will be responsible for developing new and modifying existing equipment in cross-discipline design teams, documenting your designs. - Your tasks will include coding in C, C++, Bash, and Python on bare metal and under RHEL compatible Linux distros in containers. - You will work with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams in the manufacturing and support of equipment. - The design team at Micron is challenged with innovative projects to keep the company competitive in the marketplace, frequently providing solutions that no one else has addressed. - Your role will involve improving existing designs, responding to manufacturing and production support, and engaging in daily hands-on work with electronics, computers, and in-house and third-party designed equipment in a lab environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop new equipment in cross-discipline design teams - Code in C, C++, Bash, and Python on various platforms - Collaborate with different teams in manufacturing and support of equipment - Work on innovative projects to keep Micron competitive - Support existing designs and engage in hands-on work with equipment **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent - Experience in C, C++ - Fundamental mixed signal knowledge - Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and DMMs - Experience in Linux and the GNU toolchain Micron Technology, Inc. is an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions, focused on transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
