We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. If you are seeking a hands-on design engineering position involving writing and debugging software on physical hardware, our Equipment Software Design team is looking to hire a driven embedded software engineer. In this role, you will develop embedded software running on bare metal to embedded Linux, as well as higher-level interface software. You will collaborate with other software engineers and engineering teams to create custom in-house semiconductor equipment from scratch. Your responsibilities will include developing and modifying equipment in cross-discipline design teams, coding in C, C++, Bash, and Python, working with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams, innovating to keep Micron competitive, supporting existing designs, and engaging in hands-on work with electronics and computers in a lab environment. You will work with a global team located in Boise, Idaho, USA; Penang, Malaysia; and Hyderabad, India. Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, experience in C, C++, fundamental mixed signal knowledge, lab equipment knowledge, and experience in Linux and the GNU toolchain. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of industry embedded work experience, proficiency in C, C++, and Python, experience with dev tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, proficiency in schematics, PCB layout, mixed signal circuits, Linux, GNU toolchain, lab equipment, and building physical systems.
