Sr. Embedded Software engineer

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at HBK, you will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate technology experts in the test, measurement, and data analytics industry. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from various business functions and contribute to the development of real-time and high throughput data software applications for the global R&D department. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new embedded software functionality running on x86 (Linux and Windows), ARM, and DSP platforms interacting with FPGA logic. - Create new unit tests for new functionality and extend existing unit tests. - Evaluate and maintain new or existing products, concepts, and technologies. - Contribute to and maintain the function domain technology roadmap. - Create documentation including technical, test, reporting, specification, and manual. - Stay informed about the state of the art of the function domain. Qualifications Required: - 5-7 years of experience in similar roles with at least 4 years in embedded software development. - Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Technology related fields. - Demonstrable experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C++ and C#. - Experience in embedded software implementation on Linux, RTOS, and Windows. - Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in Scrum master role. - Experience in leading others and familiarity with Jira and Confluence. - Knowledge of Test and Measurement domain is advantageous. - Experience in product development, preferably in instrumentation. Personal Skills: - Attention to detail, thoroughness, and clear communication skills. - Ability to work under own initiative or instruction. - Fluent in written and oral English, additional languages like Dutch, German, Danish, or Portuguese are a plus.
