Sr. Design Engineer - Electrical

As a Senior Design Engineer - Electrical at WET-Water & Effluent Treatment IC, Chennai, your role involves the following key responsibilities: - Preparation of Pre-bid engineering for tender documents & raising pre-bid queries to the Client/Consultant. - Attending pre-bid meetings, seeking clarifications, and visiting project sites with Clients for further understanding if required. - Creating competitive Bill of Quantities (BOQ), design calculations, and technical deliverables related to Electrical Systems in alignment with the specified scope of work in the Tender, focusing on optimization. - Coordinating with internal departments to finalize design inputs for Electrical design, including Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Instrumentation. - Conducting detailed engineering activities within the specified timelines provided in the Document Control Index (DCI) for ongoing projects, including the preparation of Design calculations, documents, and Engineering drawings. - Submitting design drawings and documents to the client for approval, addressing and incorporating Client/Consultant comments, and providing technical clarifications with supporting documents. - Releasing purchase requisitions (PR) for Electrical Equipment based on approved design documents & drawings. - Reviewing various vendor offers in accordance with contract specifications, and collaborating with Business Units for Procurement initiation. - Compiling Technical comparison statements and securing approval for vendor drawings from the Client to facilitate manufacturing clearance. - Studying and analyzing existing systems or developing new System designs as per client requirements. - Visiting Client/Consultant offices to obtain approvals for engineering documents. Qualifications required: - Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree - 2-5 years of relevant experience In this role, you will be an integral part of the engineering team at WET-Water & Effluent Treatment IC, contributing to the successful execution of Electrical design projects through diligent planning, coordination, and technical expertise.,
