Job Summary:
Looking for an experienced copy editor and fact-checker needed for long-form content. This copy editor should be able to proof, format, and post content after being received from writers. fact-checking writers’ articles and optimizing written pieces to increase user engagement. have excellent writing and editing skills in English and experience managing editorial calendars. About The Role ::
Check provided material to ensure writers provide the requested sections of content. Copy edit content to be appropriate for AP style. Fact checks any statistics given. Look through all sources used and ensure they are not violating any websitesterms of service. Run content through a plagiarism checker. Format content correctly in HTML to fit on-page. Run HTML through a validation tool. Post content to our content management platform. Strong knowledge of AP style. Knowledge of best practices in writing for SEO. Detail-oriented. Able to follow company editorial guidelines. Basic HTML experience. Knowledge of website copyrights/terms of service and how they are structured. Supervise, coach and assist a team of 5 content writers. Formulate the strategies and standards to create high-quality content based on the client’s guidelines. Use creative and analytical skills to convert ideas and raw information into unique interesting content. Proofread content and correct spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. Verify the accuracy and relevance of the information. Rewrite the text to improve clarity and readability. Understand and help implement client feedback. Write blog posts and marketing copy to promote our products and services. Proofread, re-structure and edit articles by content writers. Update our website and social media pages with new content. Craft and send our monthly newsletter. Interview industry professionals and use online sources to research topics. Improve illustration in collaboration with marketing and design teams. Optimize published pieces using SEO guidelines. Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication. Generate new ideas around industry-related topics. Monitor web traffic and user engagement.Portfolio of published work. Excellent writing and editing skills in English. Attention to detail. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems. Familiarity with SEO and keyword research. Team spirit.
