Sr backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Enlite, you will play a crucial role in designing and constructing high-performance backend systems for Enlite's intelligent automation platform. Your responsibilities will include combining strong backend fundamentals with an innovative mindset to utilize AI tools and frameworks effectively, accelerating engineering workflows and enhancing product capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop scalable microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot, optimized for cloud-native environments. - Create backend services to orchestrate AI-powered infrastructure automation workflows. - Utilize AI tools like code-generation assistants and AI test harnesses to expedite development, improve reliability, and drive innovation. - Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 engineers, promoting best practices in AI-augmented software development. - Work on database optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL), caching layers (Redis), and event-driven architectures (Kafka). - Collaborate closely with product and software teams to explore the potential of backend + AI systems. - Take ownership of deployment, scaling, and monitoring strategies in Linux-based cloud environments. - Integrate predictive and generative models into the core system to enable autonomous decision-making, adaptive automation, and continuous optimization. Qualifications Required: - 6-8 years of backend engineering experience with a strong foundation in Core Java. - Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and system design patterns. - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architectures. - Sound knowledge of SQL databases and distributed systems. - Previous experience in managing small teams, fostering innovation, and delivering impactful systems.
