**Job Description:** You will be a part of Amgen's mission to serve patients living with serious illnesses. As a Senior Associate Software Engineer in Manufacturing Data & Analytics at Amgen, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include: - Possessing strong rapid prototyping skills and translating concepts into working code efficiently. - Contributing to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology. - Developing innovative solutions using generative AI technologies. - Ensuring code quality and consistency to standard methodologies. - Creating and maintaining documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations. - Identifying and resolving technical challenges effectively. - Working closely with product team, business team, and other collaborators. - Designing, developing, and implementing applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements. - Analyzing functional and technical requirements of applications and translating them into software architecture and design specifications. - Developing and implementing unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality. - Identifying and resolving software bugs and performance issues. - Working on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. - Providing ongoing support and maintenance for applications to ensure smooth operation. - Communicating design ideas and prototypes clearly to key customers and team members. - Staying updated with the latest design trends and techniques. - Adapting to a fast-paced environment and learning new tools and methods quickly. - Innovating, exploring, and implementing new tools and technologies for efficient user experience design. - Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks. - Collaborating in an Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment to deliver incremental value. - Using JIRA, Confluence, and Agile DevOps tools to manage sprints, backlogs, and user stories. - Supporting continuous improvement, test automation, and DevOps practices in the user experience design lifecycle. - Collaborating and communicating effectively with product teams and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. **Qualifications Required:** **Basic Qualifications:** - Any degree and 5 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT, or related field experience **Must-Have Skills:** - Solid understanding and experience in cloud computing principles, particularly within the AWS ecosystem - Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular, Python, PySpark, Fast API, Databricks, DevOps Tools, CI/CD, Data Ingestion - In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and data architecture principles - Experience with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture - Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code - Experience with software engineering best practices, version control, CI/CD, automated unit testing, DevOps - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile delivery practices, DevOps practices **Good-to-Have Skills:** - Experience with AI-assisted code development tools - Experience in biotechnology or pharma industry - Experience with monitoring and logging tools **Education and Professional Certifications:** - AWS Certified Cloud, Data Engineer, Developer or Solutions Architect preferred - Databricks Certificate preferred - Scaled Agile SAFe certification preferred **Soft Skills:** - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams - High degree of initiative and self-motivation - Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully - Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals - Ability to learn quickly, be organized, and detail-oriented - Strong presentation and public speaking skills **Additional Details:** At Amgen, in addition to a competitive base salary, you will receive comprehensive Total Rewards Plans that are aligned with local industry standards to support your professional and personal growth and well-being.
