Technical Functional Lead/Developer Veeva ClinOps Vault

Role Summary:

In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions to meet business needs, ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This is a technical functional lead/developer role supporting Veeva ClinOps Vault (suite of applications), working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to create and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities also include automating operations, monitoring system health, and minimizing downtime.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical discussions related to the Veeva Vault within the Clinical Trial Management, Monitoring, and Engagement (CTMME) product team
• Drive development and maintenance activities per release calendar in coordination with product team and business stakeholders
• Conduct user acceptance testing with customers, manage feedback, resolve issues, and support final acceptance
• Support requirements gathering and specification creation for development/maintenance tasks
• Communicate risks and contingency plans with project management to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedural standards
• Contribute to product/process improvement initiatives and support developers/testers during the project lifecycle
• Define and present architecture footprints (Business, Logical, Integration, Security, Infrastructure)
• Create and maintain technical documentation (architecture, deployment, DR, operations)
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and other test strategies in line with IS change control and GxP validation processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and maintenance requests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and QA for timely, high-quality software delivery

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree with 13 years of experience in Computer Science
• OR
• Bachelor's degree with 35 years of experience in Computer Science
• OR
• Diploma with 79 years of experience in Computer Science

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Veeva Vault configuration/customization
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (or other programming languages)
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries
• Understanding of clinical trial processes and software validation (GxP)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Fast learner with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in GxP project implementation
• In-depth understanding of SDLC, including design, testing, data analysis, and change control
• Experience with API integrations (e.g., MuleSoft)
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Databricks)
