Sr Application Engineer

As a Virtuoso Layout professional, your primary responsibility will involve engaging with customers and prospects to identify and assess opportunities. You will collaborate to establish mutually agreeable and achievable evaluation criteria, oversee the evaluation process, and successfully convert these opportunities into tangible business outcomes. Additionally, you will assist customers in implementing the tool and ensuring its swift integration into production. A comprehensive understanding of customer workflows and strong analytical skills are essential for resolving issues that may affect production schedules. Proficiency in Advance Node layout and design rules would be advantageous in this role. This position necessitates close collaboration with the Research and Development (R&D) and Product Engineering teams to facilitate the implementation of new features and bug fixes. Given the extensive customer interaction involved in issue resolution and identifying avenues for the adoption of Cadence technologies, effective communication skills and exceptional leadership qualities are paramount. The successful candidate must possess a firm grasp of IC design technology and foundry process/methodology in analog layouts. Proficiency in analog layout design fundamentals, advanced node Virtuoso techfile constraints, and hands-on experience in scripting for layout automation tasks are critical requirements. Familiarity with the complete analog back-end flow, ranging from top-level floorplanning to complex block-level layouts, physical verification, extraction, EMIR analysis, etc., using Cadence layout tools, especially Virtuoso with exposure to advanced nodes, is crucial. Previous experience in utilizing Cadence CustomIC Physical Design tools (Virtuoso) for chip integration and signoff processes would be advantageous. A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree or equivalent qualification coupled with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
