Sr App Developer - Content Management

The Senior Applications Developer role at UPS involves leading the development team in designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications in an Agile Scrum environment. You will be responsible for providing feedback for process improvement, acting as a technical mentor, ensuring effective communication within the team, and collaborating with Product Owners and other IT areas. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in full systems life cycle management to ensure timely delivery within budget. Key responsibilities include directing component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development initiatives. You will lead project activities, integrations, and guide teams towards achieving objectives. This role involves researching and integrating emerging technologies, providing support for applications development, integration, and maintenance, as well as leading junior team members in project-related tasks. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in developing complex enterprise solutions, proficiency in Web development technologies like Java/J2EE, Restful web services, OpenShift CI CD pipeline, and Content Management Systems technology. Familiarity with vendor management and experience with Azure or Google Cloud is advantageous. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with a solid background in applications programming and proven success as a technical team leader. Minimum qualifications for this role include expertise in Java Programming, Spring, web services, Agile Development/DevOps, CMS Development, and knowledge of CMS Digital Platform experiences such as AEM, OpenText (LiveSite, TeamSite). Familiarity with Agile and Scrum Concepts, Collaboration, Mentoring, and web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
