Description
As a Web Engineer at Standard Chartered, you will play a crucial role in the digital revolution that is shaping the future of banking. Your primary focus will be on product development, collaborating with your squad to deliver end-to-end solutions to the Bank's digital channels. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to analyzing and enhancing the digital channel platform both technically and from a user experience perspective. Staying updated with the latest software technologies is key, as you will be working on user-centric web-based digital banking applications for both internal Bank staff and external customers globally. Your responsibilities will include developing a new generation of Digital Banking to enhance user experience, contributing to the agile team developing cutting-edge mobile banking solutions. Your adaptability and creativity will be challenged as you tackle complex, real-world programming challenges. You should have a deep understanding of IT development processes, ensuring delivery quality, fostering collaboration with peers and colleagues from different departments, and effective delivery management. Upholding exemplary conduct and adhering to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct are essential, along with taking personal responsibility for ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. You will serve as a Director of the Board, exercising delegated authorities and acting in alignment with the Board's directives. To be successful in this role, you should hold a BS or MS in Computer Sciences or Software Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within an international technology organization handling complex projects. Your experience should cover the full software development lifecycle and proficiency in DevOps tools such as Microsoft ADO, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Vx. Strong communication skills in English and expertise in mobile hybrid architecture, WebView, JS bridge, web security, and build automation tools are necessary. Your role will involve establishing and enforcing frontend design principles, coding standards, and architectural patterns aligned with the company's vision. You will mentor teams to ensure consistent adoption of best practices and alignment with business objectives. Leading the migration to modern optimizations, researching and prototyping emerging solutions, and troubleshooting problems efficiently are key aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead a team, groom team members on technical/domain expertise, design robust architectural frameworks for React applications, and drive cross-team architecture decisions.
