Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Your role at PIC involves working with control systems encompassing regulatory and batch control, advanced process control, expert systems, DCS interfacing, and training simulators. You will be responsible for staging and testing products using dynamic simulators and programming. Additionally, you will contribute to the production and development of various control systems sold to external customers. As part of the Software Group, you will focus on enhancing existing products and supporting Project Engineering and Service Groups. The department also undertakes the development of control systems for new UOP processes. Key Responsibilities: - Execute programming tasks within budgeted hours and schedule, ensuring high-quality deliverables - Provide recommendations to enhance software, service support, and testing activities for UOP PIC products" competitiveness - Support system maintenance, development, and resource management to facilitate effective technology transfer and maximize value to UOP and customers - Identify and implement opportunities for continuous work process and productivity improvements to optimize project outcomes - Configure/network PCs, Virtual Machines, and control system hardware for simulation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting - Provide regular updates on project status and tasks Typical tasks may include: - Customizing or developing software architecture, logic, and operator interface applications - Supporting integration, testing, verification, and validation activities - Translating functional specifications or process control concepts into software - Creating or enhancing master programs for feature definition,
