Role Overview: At Gensler, the Data Platform Studio is seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Developer to join their team. As a SQL Server database developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases. Your role will involve analyzing data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze database requirements and recommend solutions based on industry best practices - Develop and maintain database code including stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, and triggers - Manage interactions between databases and system interfaces to ensure seamless operation - Collaborate with software developers, architects, and product managers to translate business requirements into data solutions - Conduct data validation and quality assurance checks - Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 4-5 years of experience in T-SQL programming using MSSQL Server - Proficiency in T-SQL, development, and debugging of stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers - Experience in database query and performance optimization - Strong understanding of relational database design concepts - Working knowledge of version control systems (GIT, SVN, TFS, etc.) - Willingness to learn new technologies and innovative approaches - Effective communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills - Strong behavioral skills such as problem-solving, work prioritization, communication, self-direction, and time management Additional Details of the Company: Gensler, as the world's largest design firm, is deeply committed to sustainability in the built environment.
