SQL and Banking Domain Support Engineer

As a skilled SQL and Banking Domain Support Engineer, you will join our team to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our banking software solutions. Your key responsibilities will include providing Level 1 & Level 2 technical support for banking software applications, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving SQL database issues, working closely with banking clients to understand and resolve their queries, monitoring database performance, optimizing queries for efficiency, assisting in database maintenance, backups, and restoration processes, collaborating with developers and QA teams to improve system functionality, and documenting troubleshooting steps and best practices for future reference. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with 1-3 years of experience in SQL query writing, debugging, and optimization. Experience in the banking domain or financial applications is preferred, and knowledge of RDBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server is essential. You should also possess the ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot application-related issues, with familiarity in core banking systems or financial transactions considered a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are crucial for this position. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience with stored procedures, indexing, and query performance tuning, an understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and security protocols, as well as hands-on experience with API integrations and reporting tools.
