Spoken English Trainer

Sugam NGO, in collaboration with NIIT Foundation, is implementing a skill development initiative aimed at improving the spoken English and communication skills of youth (14–25 years), preparing them for job-readiness and personal growth.

Job Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Spoken English Trainer who will be responsible for delivering structured, interactive, and practical spoken English sessions under the NIIT skill curriculum. The trainer will facilitate sessions, conduct assessments, and support students in building strong communication and soft skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver spoken English training based on NIIT Foundation’s prescribed curriculum.
• Use activity-based learning methods including role plays, group discussions, and presentations.
• Focus on key areas: vocabulary building, grammar, sentence formation, fluency, pronunciation, and confidence.
• Integrate life skills and workplace readiness components into sessions (like interview prep, teamwork, and personal grooming).
• Conduct baseline and endline assessments as per NIIT guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, progress tracking, and timely reporting on the NIIT platform.
• Coordinate with NIIT Foundation’s regional team for audits, reviews, and training updates.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Strong command over spoken and written English.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle students from under-resourced or first-generation learner backgrounds.
• Familiarity with digital tools (Google Sheets, LMS, Zoom, etc.).
• Passion for teaching and empowering youth.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English / Communication / Education / Humanities.
• NIIT English Trainer certification (if available) or willingness to undergo NIIT Foundation's ToT (Training of Trainers).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in spoken English or soft skill training.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
