Description
The Spoken English Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons focused on improving the conversational English skills, fluency, pronunciation, and confidence of students from various backgrounds. This role involves creating a dynamic learning environment, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent command over English, strong teaching abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for empowering students through language. Responsibilities: Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons focused on spoken English, including pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, vocabulary, grammar in context, and conversational practice. Fluency and Confidence Building: Implement activities and exercises that encourage students to speak English confidently and fluently, minimizing hesitation and maximizing natural expression. Pronunciation Training: Provide specific guidance and drills for accurate English pronunciation, addressing common challenges faced by Marathi/Hindi speakers (if applicable). Vocabulary and Idioms: Introduce and reinforce relevant vocabulary, idioms, and phrases for various real-life situations. Grammar for Communication: Teach practical grammar concepts that are essential for clear and effective spoken communication. Role-Playing and Discussions: Organize and facilitate role-playing scenarios, group discussions, debates, and presentations to provide ample speaking opportunities. Student Assessment: Regularly assess students spoken English proficiency, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the spoken English curriculum and teaching materials. Individualized Support: Provide personalized attention and support to students as needed, addressing their specific learning difficulties. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress. Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the latest teaching methodologies, language learning techniques, and trends in English language education. Parent/Guardian Communication (if applicable): Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas of focus.
