As an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicer, you will be joining our telecom deployment team to perform the following key responsibilities: - Perform fiber splicing on live and new cable networks (FTTH/FTTx/Backbone). - Handle OTDR, Power Meter, and Splicing Machines efficiently. - Interpret fiber network plans, routes, and schematics. - Execute fiber testing, fault finding, and rectification. - Coordinate with field teams for network activation and maintenance. - Ensure proper documentation of splicing records and daily reports. - Maintain safety protocols and quality standards at all job sites. You should possess the following required skills: - Strong knowledge of optical fiber types, color codes, and standards. - Proficiency with fusion splicing machines and fiber test tools (OTDR, VFL). - Ability to work in field conditions and travel to deployment areas. - Basic understanding of telecom infrastructure and routes. - Good physical stamina for outdoor tasks. To qualify for this position, you should have: - 12th Pass or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing.
