The Catering Manager at Spicy Rika will lead and execute premium Thai and pan-Asian catering experiences for high-end clients, corporate events, embassy gatherings, and private celebrations. This role demands impeccable operational management, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to maintain Spicy Rika’s brand ethos — Really Real Thai Food, presented with precision, creativity, and flair. You will be the bridge between kitchen excellence and guest experience — ensuring flawless execution from tasting to setup to final service. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: Client & Event Management • Serve as the main point of contact for clients from inquiry to post-event feedback. • Conduct tastings, finalize menus, and customize offerings to match event themes and budgets. • Supervise on-site catering — ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen, service, and logistics teams. • Maintain client relationships and convert one-time events into recurring partnerships. Operational Oversight • Plan and execute catering events from setup to service, ensuring consistency in presentation, food quality, and brand experience. • Coordinate with chefs on menu preparation, portioning, and live stations. • Manage inventory, logistics, and vendor relations (equipment, rentals, décor, transport). • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and timely delivery under all conditions. Team Management • Oversee staff scheduling, grooming, and training in Spicy Rika service standards. • Supervise live counters, service stations, and plating teams at events. • Foster a team culture of discipline, efficiency, and hospitality. Financials & Reporting • Track event budgets, cost sheets, and wastage. • Prepare P&L reports for each catering event and coordinate with accounts. • Negotiate vendor rates and manage purchase approvals. Brand Representation • Ensure setups reflect Spicy Rika’s signature style — minimalistic yet luxurious. • Coordinate with the creative and marketing team for social media-worthy event coverage. • Represent Spicy Rika at food festivals, exhibitions, and collaborations. ⸻ Minimum Basic Requirements: Education: • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Catering from a recognized institute. Experience: • Minimum 2-5 years in catering, banquets, or high-end F&B operations. • Proven experience managing 100–500 pax events independently. • Exposure to premium hospitality brands (restaurants, resorts, banquets, or event catering). Skills & Attributes: • Strong leadership and people management skills. • Excellent communication (English & Hindi) and client handling. • Solid knowledge of food presentation, buffet layouts, and live kitchen setups. • Eye for detail, calm under pressure, and high sense of aesthetics. • Proficiency in inventory systems, vendor management, and cost control. • Valid driving license preferred for mobility during events. ⸻ Reporting To: Founder & Director – Rekha Location: Delhi NCR (Frequent travel to Gurgaon / Golf Club / off-site venues)
