Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (Speech Therapist) Location: Poovanthi Rehabilitation, Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu Employment Type: Full-Time, (9.00-5.00) Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment to patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The role is particularly focused on patients undergoing rehabilitation , including those recovering from neurological conditions, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and geriatric patients. Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in both inpatients and outpatients. Develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nursing staff. Conduct regular therapy sessions and monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on communication strategies and swallowing safety techniques. Provide training and guidance to staff regarding communication techniques and patient interaction. Maintain thorough clinical records and contribute to the preparation of patient care reports. Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings for holistic patient care planning. Stay informed about latest research, methods, and advancements in speech-language pathology, particularly in neurorehabilitation and geriatric speech care. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech Therapy or equivalent. Registered with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) or equivalent statutory body (as per regulations). Freshers with clinical internship can apply. 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; experience in rehabilitation or neurological/geriatric care is an added advantage. Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team .
